Doesn't Katie Curic and Baby Noah look a little alike? Or am I just crazy? Baby Noah is Jon and Lauren's little boy for those of you looking at this scratching your heads. They are actually the couple that got me into blogging in the first place... Visit them at HowBourgeois

Lobsters Rock

Summertime fun.. What is better than munching on a few of these lobster claws while laying on the beach, listening to the waves crash and watching the sun set over the horizon...

Steaks !!! Yeahhhhh !!!

I grilled up some steaks with our new DiLonghi indoor grill set tonight. The rear two slabs of sirloin were dusted with my buddy Dave's rub(I will write more about this soon. Man, is it good), and the two in front were just seasoned with salt and pepper. The meal was a hit and we had enough leftover for a kick ass lunch tomorrow... Planning on making some wraps with alfalfa, avocados, julienned cucumbers and sliced shell steaks. I think a shiso/ponzu sauce drizzled over the goodies will help bind all the flavors together. OOOH, lunch is going to be so good.

Ludo NYC

OK, I just got back from a great night out with my wife and some friends. We went to this place in the lower east sided called Ludo . Great ambiance, great food, horrible service. Over all experience was pleasant. I will go back because the food was sooooooooooooooooo good. ( Ludo on Menupages ) It's restaurant week here in NY and almost everybody has a $35 pre-fixe menu for you to taste. This is just another great element that makes NYC the best city in the world. For foodies, it's heaven. Anywho, if you find yourself near Katz's Deli and not in the mood for the best Pastrami sandwich in the world (unthinkable), walk a few blocks to Ludo. It's located on 1st street between 1st and 2nd Avenue. **The ambiance was very cool. the bar was on the ground floor and a blue staircase led patrons downstairs to 3 dining rooms. Very New Yorky, very fun. **The service wasn't much of anything. These waiters were definately first time servers, probably college kids lo...

Kevin Smith and Superman

It's a bit long (20 minutes) but if you have the time, it's worth it. Kevin Smith dishes on how things are done in Hollywood....

Lawrence Welk

My friends from How Bourgeois brought back a blast from the past in their recent blog article... Lawrence Welk... remember him? If not, here are some music clips from his show...

Immigration Skit

Here's a little cartoon skit making a valid point... Enjoy.

BBC News - Italian lip reader

Watch this BBC clip. I am not saying what Zidane did while the match was still in play is acceptable , but can I certainly understand.

Materazzi is a piece of SHIT!!!

With a history of cheap and violent fouls, Materazzi's most recent actions (110th minute of the 2006 World Cup Finals)should open everybody's eyes... Yes, Zidane's actions were inexcusible(in which he received a red card and was removed from the match immediately), but from what reporters are saying, one can certainly understand the anger Zidane must have felt. If FIFA can prove the so called words really came from Materazzi, he should be banned from all FIFA events... Followed by and investigation on the Italian National Team. Playing such an individual fully aware of his behavior in the past, and actually cheering him for getting Zidane out of the game is absolutely unethical. FIFA must not accept such behavior. If the Italian National Team knowingly and purposely had this racist asshole playing so he could take out the opponent's star player, they should be banned from all FIFA events for 50 years and have the World Cup trophy taken away as well. Only by finding o...

David Hasselhoff (today) - Hooked on a Feeling

Achtung!!! Watch with caution. (PBD - Potential Brain Damage) I can't beleive it myself... What the hell happened to the crime fighting Michael Knight I watched religiously as a child...?

I still like the guy

Zidane flipping out and headbutting Materazzi in the chest after being insulted with alleged racial slurs. I hate to see such a great player leave and end his career on such a note... I hope the media doesn't work it out of proportion and just reports the truth, so fans of the game can understand why something like this occured.

US Fire Power

OK, for those of you who are just as interested in modern day military weaponry as I am, this is a treat. This is absolutely amazing. Highlighting the Dillon Aero Gatling Compare and Contrast OMG

Paris Hilton - Stars are Blind ver.II

It is said, if you listen to it enough times, you may start to like it. I'll let you know in a couple of days.

Finals : Italy vs France

Will Totti carry his team to a World Cup title? Or will Zinedine Zidane cap off his spectacular career with the ultimate farewell gift, the Golden Trophy... My vote goes to France. The "Maestro" factor is too great right now, Zidane is playing better than ever. Perhaps easier said than done, but make no mistake, both teams will be studying their marked opponents carefully over the next few days. There will be no room for error come Sunday. Italy and France will battle it out for the FIFA World Cup Championship. As it is custom, the losing teams of the semi-finals will duke it out for 3rd place. Portugal's Figo will lead his team against host country Germany. Can Klinsmann lead his team to one more victory taking the bronze in what has turned out to be an exciting 2006 World Cup. Saturday : Germany vs Portugal Sunday : France vs Italy

4th of July weekend

Here's a run down of our weekend. Saturday: Watched the Germany/Argentina game. (Go Germany!) Had some french pate sandwiches for lunch. Watched the France/Brazil game. (Go France!) Friends from DC arrived for the weekend. Had wagyu beef tongue tacos for dinner. Then went to see Superman Returns. (Average entertainment at best) Sunday: Went to Coney Island. Devoured some Nathan's HotDogs. (Quite delicious, but mostly fun) Rode the Cyclone at Astroland. (Great ride) Walked on the boardwalk and people watched. Went to Manhattan. Rode the double decker tour bus - downtown loop. (Informative) Had dinner at Ruby Foo's near Broadway. (Unsatisfying & Unauthentic) Went to Katz's Deli and picked up some pastrami and corned beef sandwiches. (Manly) Came home and watched Thomas Crown Affair. (Broke out the sandwiches. They were awesome!) Monday: Headed into Manhattan and took the Circle Line cruise. (Beautiful skyline and got a great view of the Statue of Liberty) Too...
